Lending a helping hand to the Hunter community

We live and breathe local, which is why it’s important for us to partner with community groups in our region that we interact with on a regular basis.

Some of our ongoing partnerships with the Hunter community include:

Cessnock Central Rural Fire Brigade

We’ve proudly been supporting the Cessnock Central Rural Fire Brigade for a few years now. When we heard that vandals had damaged the air conditioning unit at the Cessnock base, we immediately swung into action.

After hearing the news on local radio station, our team members were quick to load up a brand-new Daikin Australia air conditioning system and head to the base to install it.

The team had the pleasure of meeting the incredible crew from the fire brigade, who were extremely grateful for the donation of the new air conditioning system.

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation

We’ve proudly partnered with the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation for their Pecks on The Punt campaign, generously donating to their cause.

The funds went directly to the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation, helping both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer access vital information and support.

Souths Newcastle Men’s Hockey Club

Souths Newcastle Men’s Hockey Club brings together an array of players of all abilities across the Hunter Region to competitively play hockey.

They are a professional sporting club that are focused on the development of players from junior players, all the way up to Premier League. We have proudly been sponsoring the Club for several years.

Newcastle Surfest

In 2022 and 2023, we were proud sponsors of Surfest Women’s Pro. Surfest has been running in Newcastle for over 30 years, and the Women’s Pro has been crowdfunded since 2015.

The crowdfunding initiative ensures Newcastle’s iconic Surfest provides world-class opportunities for women in the sport. Many of our team members are avid surfers, and love attending Surfest each year. We’re pleased to have the community continue supporting this great initiative.

Bears of Hope

When a family friend experienced tragedy, we were there to lend a hand.

Brianna was 22 weeks pregnant when she learnt that her baby girl had an incurable illness. Sadly, three days later, Brianna lost her baby.

The family was given a cuddle cot to use, a cooling system that lays beneath the baby within a bassinet. It enables families to keep their baby close, spending precious time with their child before saying goodbye.

It was Brianna’s wish to donate $6,500 to Bears of Hope, allowing other families in similar situations access a cuddle cot. It has been our pleasure to support this cause.

Circus Quirkus

Since 2021, we have sponsored International Entertainment’s Circus Quirkus, a contemporary take on a traditional circus. The event aims to support Immune Deficiencies Foundation Australia, which offers education, advocacy and awareness for Australians living with immunodeficiencies.

Circus Quirkus is completely crowdfunded, and we’re proud that our donation meant several pre-purchased tickets were able to be given free to the public.

Special Children’s Christmas Party

Each year we proudly donate to the Special Children’s Christmas Party, so that the organisation can hold an annual Christmas celebration for kids with special needs.

The organisation works closely with hundreds of charities, schools and organisations to choose the special children who attend the annual party. The children invited may have one or multiple serious illnesses, physical or intellectual impairments, experience domestic violence or live in underprivileged circumstances. We are proud to support such a wonderful organisation.

Newcastle Olympic Football club

Newcastle Olympic Football Club are a semi-professional club based in Hamilton. They compete in the Northern NSW National Premier League and celebrated their 45^th anniversary in 2021. The team was founded by European migrants in the 1970s and has remained especially important to the local Greek community.

We’re pleased to sponsor this fantastic club and wish them all the success in the years to come.
